The Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communication and Technology (PAECT) is a dynamic professional organization offering leadership and networking opportunities to professionals throughout the Commonwealth by nurturing the exchange of ideas, information, resources, and emerging developments in current technology issues.

As a networking and development resource, PAIU supports the PAIMS (PA Instructional Media Services) job-alike group which is comprised of highly skilled professionals with expertise in a wide variety of areas, including: Instructional Technology, Information Technology, Professional Development, Online Learning, Data Systems and Digital Media. Intermediate Units were formed by the state legislature to promote and support collaboration within the education system. Providing technological products and services continues to be a huge need for school districts and IUs fulfill a wide range of service needs for students and school districts. The vision of PAIMS is the equitable delivery of communication, information, and related technologies that can be used to support multiple modes of learning, teaching, and assessment (Association for Learning Technology).

The Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO) is a professional association whose members are engaged in or provide products and services for school business management. Currently, PASBO is made up of more than 2,500 members who are primarily employed full time by public or private schools in Pennsylvania. PASBO programs and services promote the highest standards of school business management practices, member recognition, professional growth and the effective use of educational resources. The association strives to continually provide professional and personal development opportunities to the membership through the workshop program, the annual conference and exhibits, specialty events and informative publications. The association also disseminates state legislative and executive branch information to school business officials.

The mission of the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is to lead and serve the educational community to enable each individual to grow into an inspired, productive, fulfilled lifelong learner.
