OPENING KEYNOTE - MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13
Kristina Ishmael, US DOE, Deputy Director | Office of Ed Tech
Digital Equity & Opportunity
When we work towards achieving digital equity, we also work towards the opportunities that come with it. This is precisely why the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology prioritizes digital equity as they develop national edtech policy to transform teaching and learning and enable equitable, everywhere, all-the-time learning. Join Acting Director, Kristina Ishmael, as she talks about the office priorities and projects designed to operationalize the charge of OET and learn more about how your work supports their mission.

TUESDAY KEYNOTE - TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14
Chris Singleton, Inspirational Speaker, Author,
Entrepreneur, Former Pro Athlete

Unity in Our Communities (LOVE > hate)
In his keynote, Chris shares his expertise on how colleagues, educators and communities in general can be united. Although some talks of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging seem to bring about divisiveness, Chris shares very important truths in a non-pugnacious way. He will explain the difference between listening to argue your point vs. listening to understand perspectives. Whether they agree with their counterparts or not, the audience will surely be equipped with a different perspective on privilege, racism, and key takeaways they can use in their everyday life to be more empathetic.

CLOSING KEYNOTE - WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15
Coy Bowles, Musician - Lead guitarist and organist, Zac Brown Band, Author, Early Education & Literacy Advocate
Connecting to Your Calling
Utilizing information and experience gathered from his 15+ years as a touring musician and advocate for early education, literacy, and teacher appreciation, Coy dives deep into why and what we do this all for. The keynote provides a unique perspective and solutions for staying connected to yourself, those around you, and your role in education.
