…are opportunities for lifelong learners like you to demonstrate professional and personal growth at PETE&C and beyond!
Launched in 2017 through a partnership with Penn State University and patterned on our principles of INNOVATION, COLLABORATION, and EDUCATION, the badges and micro-creds are a rewarding way for educators and administrators to experience PETE&C while earning tangible evidences of learning that can be shared with colleagues and supervisors.
Digital badges (like PETE Plus and PETE Plugged) are designed to fully engage participants in PETE&C; while micro-credentials advance awareness and assist in the appropriate application of advanced approaches such as gamification, virtualization, personalization, and managing media messaging and learning environments in 21st century schools. New this year are a series of micro-credentials highlighting the alignment between the new PA employability skills and the seven ISTE Student Standards.
Submitted artifacts are peer-reviewed, with ACT 48 HOURS PROVIDED FOR THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF EACH MICRO-CREDENTIAL.
If you will be requesting Act 48 hours for a 2020 PETE&C micro-credential, the following must occur no later than May 31, 2020:
- The micro-credential must be earned (all steps completed and evidence accepted), and
- The online request form (http://bit.ly/37ll36L) must be completed, reflecting the same name and email address used to earn the micro-credential in the PSU Badging Platform.
