Read2Grasp is a new reading app for students to use during independent reading as they text code books with reading strategies. It can also be used to facilitate guided reading and read alouds. Teachers can monitor student thinking and provide feedback directly to student iPads via the web. Students are able to review books they have finished and add to the suggestion page on the app for peers to read. It is now available for chromebooks as well!

Today, Office 365 provides robust email protection against spam, viruses and malware with Office 365 Protection (EOP). But as hackers around the globe launch increasingly sophisticated attacks, many educational institutions are seeking tools that provide advanced protection. Two options are Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) and Phish Hunter. ATP is an email filtering service that provides additional protection against attachments and embedded email URLs while Phish Hunter targets spear phishing emails to protect your environment.

As the Maker Movement sweeps the nation, some classroom teachers fear they’re missing out. Testing pressures, lack of access to a ‘makerspace’ per se, or generally overloaded schedules all provide plenty of incentive to resist the temptation to dive in. But what if a change of mindset is all that was needed? What if teachers saw how a single re-imagined unit or lesson could put students in charge of the learning? During this workshop, we, as a group, will explore, for multiple subjects / content areas, what adopting the ‘maker mindset’ actually looks like in terms of learning experience design, how to assess learning in a maker environment, and why this shift is so crucial to a 21st century education.

As a school with an Environmental Science mission, it's important that we integrate science and project based inquiry across the curriculum. We have done this by designing a course sequence that starts freshman in history of Environmental Science and builds students to more intense inquiry based learning to complete projects around the school.

Two options are Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) and Phish Hunter. ATP is an email filtering service that provides additional protection against attachments and embedded email URLs while Phish Hunter targets spear phishing emails to protect your environment.

During the Fall 2016 Semester, the presenters worked together on an Augmented Reality game in ARIS. Though this collaboration was troublesome at first, each presenter quickly fell into her own role within the team. As Apple continues to update and secure the macOS platform, the way we deploy, update, and manage Macs needs to change.
