In the morning session we will learn the basics of what the SIF Implementation Specification is, how it works and how it can be used to increase data interoperability within your district. We will share the plans and progress of the PIMS - SIF pilot, what the overall status is of SIF as well as the new exciting additions to the specification. Learn how you can benefit from your membership in the association and how to get started with your district’s SIF implementation.

PC-G01 Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) – What’s In It for Me? (Advanced)

In the advanced afternoon session we will hear from your peers as they share lessons learned, knowledge they have gained and the benefits they are realizing by implementing SIF. We will walk through all of the available online tools you can use when planning your implementation. You will leave this session with a good understanding of the processes involved, questions and concerns to address with your vendors and knowledge of how to work with your administration and data personnel throughout your SIF project.

Join us for an in-depth look at eStrategic Planning, the web-based strategic planning and reporting system for local education agencies in Pennsylvania. This session will provide an abbreviated training on how to eStrategic Plan, as well as an update on the planned evolution of the eStrategic Planner as state and federal requirements are incorporated and PDE’s PIMS and EdHub initiatives are introduced.
