Important Information

As we get closer to the conference, you'll find important information here.

Arrival Date:
Hershey Lodge between 11:30 and noon on Sunday February 11, 2018
Hershey Lodge
325 University Drive
Hershey, PA 17033

Room: Crystal A

All volunteers will arrive at the Lodge for our Volunteer Informational meeting.  Lunch will be provided during them meeting.  Please do not be late.  We will start promptly at noon.

Volunteers who are taking advantage of the housing provided by the Volunteer program can find their hotel list here.  The room number corresponds with an internal PETE&C list, not an actual hotel room.  All attempts to group roommates together have been made.  If you were not placed with a person that you requested it may be because they requested a different volunteer or you may be checking out on different days.  The rooming list is subject to change up until the day of the conference in case of changes to the volunteer team.

If you are placed in the Comfort Inn, there is a shuttle that will run from your hotel to the conference events.  If you would prefer to park at the Comfort Inn prior to the Volunteer Information meeting, you may do so, but please leave yourself enough time to make it to the meeting on time.  Check-in is not until later in the afternoon.

What to pack-
Dress is casual, but please remember that you will be in a professional setting.  Jeans or other pants are fine, no holes.  If you choose to be dressier that's fine.  You will be given a green button down shirt to wear.  Some volunteers prefer to wear it as their shirt, but most prefer to wear it over another shirt.
Leggings are acceptable if they are thick and a solid, dark color, and are at no time, ever transparent.  You must also wear a shirt that covers appropriately, as the button down shirt likely will not.

Wear comfortable shoes, you will be doing quite a bit of walking and standing.  Sneakers are fine.

Sunday will be the most informal day of the conference as you will be traveling and touring the facilities.  However, (for our past volunteers) there will be no bag stuffing or carting boxes around- mostly just sitting and walking.

Tuesday night banquet (included with your volunteer badge) does not have a special dress code, but some attendees feel more comfortable dressing up a bit for the occasion.  (Dinner and dancing)

Again- Comfortable shoes are a must!

Update:  (2/8/18)
Your hotel rooms will not be ready at the start of the meeting.  Please plan to leave your luggage in your car.  You should bring any electronics or temperature sensitive items with you.  Check-in will likely be after our meeting.
